Sauvage Guard Rank Structure

Ranks and Rank Requirements

9. Guard Apprentice: This is the entry rank of the guild. After a two week trial period, and upon passing a general review with an officer, he or she is promoted to Guard Member.

8. Guard Member: A fully vested member of the guild. See Guard Apprentice for more information on being promoted to this rank. Only a Guard Member or higher is able to wear guild emblem and sponsor new applicants into the Guard. Guard Members have access to hearing alliance chat.

7. Elite Guard: Members that advance themselves as characters, gain some RvR experience and show a good attitude and dedication to the guild can be promoted to this rank. You must be level 35 or higher and have achieved Realm Rank 2 (7,125 rp's) to become an Elite Guard. Those who have been promoted to Elite Guard will have the privilege of speaking in alliance chat.

6. Sauvage Defender: For those who have already attained Elite Guard status and have fought hard in the Realm Wars, we honor them with the rank of Sauvage Defender. These members are seasoned veterans of RvR. If you need advice on RvR, these are the members you should consult. To become a Sauvage Defender, you must first have been an Elite Guard and achieved level 45 and Realm Rank 2.5 (25,375 rp's). Persons who meet these qualifications must also pass the Sauvage Defender test and be willing to assist the war effort with the vaulting of siege equipment before having this rank bestowed upon them.

5. Special Ops: These are specially trained members for covert operations. Sauvage Guard members playing rogue classes can join the Special Ops rank by demonstrating certain proficiencies with that character. They must meet tailored requirements based on class.

Infiltrators must have a total stealth 40+; be proficient at killing archers on the walls of an enemy keep; be proficient at setting ground targets, including hitting Lord room defenders, and coordinating /groundassist with artillery users (GTAE wizards, catapult operators, volley scouts).

Scouts must have total stealth 40+; be proficient at coordinating fire with other ranged attackers (especially scouts) using /assist; be proficient at setting ground targets and coordinating /groundassist with artillery users (GTAE wizards, catapult operators, volley scouts).

Minstrels must have 40+, OR Purge and Speed of Sound; have Speed 5; be proficient at twisting Speed and Power on the run; they must know the fastest routes between Albion BKs, RKs and MGs; they must know the fastest routes between Hib/Mid PKs, MGs and RKs.

Characters that meet these requirements must pass a field test. Spec Ops characters have the ability to upgrade keeps since they are often capable of getting into a keep under siege where others might not. The skills required for this rank are crucial for effective RvR. It is our hope that all rogue characters will seek this rank out. Special Ops Rank is the only rank that is character specific. Other characters owned by a Special Ops person will remain Sauvage Defender.

4. Guard Captain: Guard Captains are RvR leaders. They are responsible for learning the lay of the land of all frontier realms and learning where all keeps are located as well as the best routes to those keeps. These leaders create, lead and move groups in raids and they report directly to Warlords. This rank is key to a successful RvR Guild. All Guard Captains are granted the authority to claim, release and upgrade Keeps. This rank is also responsible for helping with group formation for guild or alliance events. Guard Captains must be at least Level 48 and Realm Rank 3.5 (122,500 rp's). A Sauvage Defender or Special Ops who is interested in becoming a Guard Captain must pass the Guard Captain test. Upon meeting these requirements, and based on popular vote of the officers, he or she may be promoted to Guard Captain.

3. Warlord: Warlords are responsible for learning the lay of the land of all frontier realms in the greatest of detail and are competent in full-scale war. They are the ones who organize and execute large-scale raids in RvR. They give out orders to the Guard Captains, who then distribute that information to their groups. Warlords are granted the ability to post a Message of the Day to keep the guild informed of war activity. Only those members who think they are up to this burden should become Warlords. A Guard Captain who is interested in becoming a Warlord must pass the Warlord test. Upon passing the Warlord test, and based on popular vote of the officers, he or she may be promoted to Warlord.

2. Knight of Excalibur: One day in the future, we hope to see someone that has achieved the honor of being promoted to Knight of Excalibur. A Knight of Excalibur will be a true hero within our guild, a player known server wide for his or her achievements and upstanding character. We reserve this rank for that person. We may never have anyone who makes it to this highest of high ranks, but we do very much hope that one of you will attain it.

0. Officer: Our Guild leaders.

Members seeking a rank promotion must post their request on the Member Changes board under Members Forums. Please post your current rank, what new rank you're seeking, your level, RP's and any addition comments in your post. An officer will then reply and a time will the be arranged for the requester to meet the officer for any approval steps (interviews, tests, etc,). If passed, the results will then be posted as a reply to the promotion post. After all requirements and approval steps are completed, a time will be arranged to perform the actual promotion.

Member of the Month

Merlin

Merlinlebeau

Merlinlebeau has been selected as Sauvage Guard's Member of the month, in recognition of his service and kindness to SG and the alliance. Merlin is a constant force in the RvR efforts, and has shown Ablion (and Mids and Hibs for that matter) just what it takes to represent our realm. He has helped many people on numerous occasions, and is always giving of himself. We are also grateful to him for hosting and maintaining our ventrilo server on an ongoing basis.

Thanks for setting a good example for the guild, alliance, and realm Merlin. You da man!
